1997 Engineering Excellence Achievement Award
Wildcat Creek Flood Protection Project,
Blakey Borough, Pennsylvania
- CECO Associates, Inc. has received a 1997 Honor Award for Engineering Excellence from the
Consulting Engineers Council of Pennsylvania.
- The firm was cited for its design of the Wildcat Creek Flood Protection Project in Blakely. The award was presented to CECO at the annual CEC/PA banquet in Hershey. CECO received the only honor award given from among 28 design entries in the water resources category.
- The $6.9 million Wildcat Creek project will provide flood protection to Peckville residents living along the Wildcat and Tinklepaugh creeks. It includes two miles of new concrete channel, twelve (12) box culverts, three (3) footbridges and three (3) debris basins. It runs through the back yards of many Blakely residences.
