John J. Pocius, P.E., P.L.S.
|
John J. Pocius, P.E., P.L.S. is Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, & Quality Improvement Manager of CECO Associates, Inc. He received an Associate Degree in Engineering from the University of Scranton in 1970. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree in 1973. Mr. Pocius is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.
He began his engineering career in 1973 with the firm of Kearney Engineering Company, Dunmore, Pennsylvania as a Project Surveyor. In 1974, he joined the staff of CECO Associates, Inc. as a Project Engineer and later assumed the position of Engineering Director. He was responsible for the management and administration of the firm's projects. In April 2011, he assumed the position of Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Quality Improvement Manager for CECO Associates, Inc., a LaBella Company. He plays a key role in client liaison, technical specification, proposal and contract preparation, and highway design coordination. In addition, he has served as a member and Chairman of the City of Scranton's Planning Commission, is a former member of Scranton City Council, and has served as its President.
Mr. Pocius is a member of the National and Pennsylvania Societies of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Highway Engineers-Northeast Penn Section, and the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors. |
